Patrick Waring, Partner and Principal Designer for Silverfox Studios will be presenting his unique design principles applied during the W Amman project, that has resulted in a property that focuses on F&B and appeals to a broad audience including Millennials. Patrick will highlight the design considerations that keep the W brand distinctive, whilst embracing a new generation of design that dissembles obvious historical references, moves away from opulence and instead creates a crafted, artisanal product that integrates F&B spaces with social gathering points and casual, local experiences.
After the presentation, Stefan Breg the Director of Food & Beverage EMEA for Starwood Legacy Hotels by Marriott International will join the stage, to discuss how Patrick's design principals translate to restaurant operations. He will also delve into the relationship between the operator and the designer and how to achieve a desired outcome that stays true to the brand. Sometimes there must be compromises, so let’s see how these two have made it work.
